2021 Cadillac ATS Specs, Redesign, Coupe Colors. The American carmaker is well-known for its excellent luxury car model and the ATS has been the entry-level model, characterized not just by plenty of luxury, but also by excellent athleticism. These days, the ATS is history, while there is a new model CT4, which takes its place in the company’s lineup. The new model is similar in terms of size and overall design characteristics. These days, we are getting ready for the new, hi-performance version, which will come with the famous V badge. Other than that, things are about to remain largely the same. Expect to see it sometime in the second half of the year.
When it comes to the powertrain, we might see one big novelty for the next year. Let’s start with the existing options. The new model comes with two new turbocharged engines in the offer. The base model comes with a new version of the familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four, which delivers around 238 horsepower. Higher trims are equipped with a 2.7-liter turbo-four, which delivers around 310 horsepower. There is a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
One of the novelties we expect to see for the next year is the famous V-badged version. Some reports suggest we might see the same twin-turbo V6 we have seen in the ATS-V. This engine was good for about 464 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. For this occasion, we expect to see a slight power boost.
2021 Cadillac ATS Redesign
The 2021 Cadillac ATS won’t happen, as you may presume. Instead, there is the brand-new CT4, which is also a compact sedan, though its wheelbase that measures almost 110 inches in wheelbase, it clearly shows its premium character. At this point, the new model is available in the sedan layout only, though we won’t be surprised if we see a coupe layout. In terms of mechanics, the new model also likes on the well-known F-Alpha platform. Still, dimensions are notably smaller than Camaro, which means it is also lighter and more agile. Compared to its predecessor, the CT4 is about 200 pounds lighter.
On the inside, you may count on Cadillac’s recognizable quality. As you know, the 2021 Cadillac ATS won’t happen, but the CT4 is here with impressive interior quality. Of course, all materials are premium, while we also like the dashboard design, full of attractive lines. Of course, there is a new tablet-like infotainment system, as well as a new digital instrument cluster.
The CT4 is also full of advanced safety systems and driver aids. Some of the things that come to mind are Safety Alert Seat, Super Cruise etc.
Pricing and Release Date
It is still to talk about these details, but we are pretty sure that things won’t change too much in base models. Standard versions should hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, base models should go around 33.000 dollars.
